From History to Home

1880s

In the early 1880s, Syrians began migrating to the United States, building communities like Little Syria in New York. By 1884, the first Koreans arrived, forming their own roots across Queens and Manhattan.

Our Beginning

Years later, those same two cultures came together again — not in history books, but in one family. At home, meals became a fusion of identity. A Syrian table with Korean touches. A Korean dish with a Syrian soul.

SYKO opened in Brooklyn. Not just as a restaurant — but as a reflection of who we are. A place where Syrian and Korean traditions meet, naturally. Where flavors don't compete — they complement.

Growing the Experience

We expanded into Dukan SYKO. Because food doesn't stop at the table — it lives in the pantry, in the ingredients, in everyday life. Now, SYKO is a neighborhood space where culture, food, and community come together.

SYKO began as a family table where Syrian and Korean food met. It grew from early migration histories into a Brooklyn restaurant in 2022, then expanded into Dukan SYKO in 2024, becoming a neighborhood space where culture, food, and community come together.
